| Our goal at La Vie Imagery is for you and your family to remember your session as a fun, relaxed and enjoyable experience. A clear understanding of your priorities for your session is very important. These details will be discussed prior to your session so we know what the focus should be during our time with you. Your session will take place in our studio and/or the surrounding outdoor area, weather permitting. Sessions usually run about an hour and are never rushed. We want you and your family to be comfortable and at ease, so we will take the time to interact with the children and let them play and explore the studio surroundings before the session begins. It is also important to schedule your appointment at a time of day when your children are at their happiest. F A Q What are your studio hours? We are available Tuesday through Saturday from 9-5, by appointment only. What is our investment to commission La Vie Imagery for custom portraits? The session fee is $350 whether at our studio or on location. The session fee includes a $200 print / product credit, a pre-session consultation, the time & talent of the photographer & designer, and a private screening of the finished images from your session. The session fee is required at time of booking to reserve your date & time. Why is a pre-design consultation required? This is our opportunity to meet and get to know you prior to your actual session. This helps make the day of your session more relaxed and comfortable. In addition, we like to take the time to discuss your vision for your portraits, as well as offer suggestions we may have regarding clothing choices and location. Taking the time for a design consultation gives us the information necessary to create the portraiture that will be displayed in your home for years to come. What sizes do you recommend for our portraits? We will guide you through the process of determining the appropriate sizes and quantities to best compliment the décor of your home. A typical order includes one or more wall portraits and several gift prints, photobooks and unique customized products. How and when do we see the images from our portrait session? At your portrait session we will schedule your presentation and ordering apointment for approximately two weeks after your session . The finished images from your session will be presented in a slideshow format set to music on a 75" projection screen. At this time you will be making decisions on which images and sizes to order, so it is very important that all decision makers be present at this screening. This time has been set aside specifically for you and we allow ample time for viewing and ordering. This private screening is included in the session fee and we ask that your ordering decisions are made at this time. Please allow for 1 1/2 - 2 hours as we do not want your decisions to feel rushed. Additional screenings are available for $100/hr. How many images will we see? We carefully select only the "best of the best" from your session. From there, each image is individually edited, artistically retouched, and prepared to hang on your wall. Due to the time involved in this process, we do not show every image taken from your session. Our Family Portraits and Lifestyle imagery will leave you at a loss for words. Capturing family portraits and lasting memeories is our passion and our joy. We will spend between 1-3 hours with you and your family in your home and your surroundings. No need to tidy up, we like to tell the story as it is, your life, now. Yes, naps and feedings are nice to have taken care of, but also will want to feature those moments as well. We ask that you think of the special things you do as a family and and the places that you spend those times in. We may take a walk or go to a place that your family enjoys. Relaxed or chaotic, we are there to record those times with you. We travel around the Anchorage Alaska area or to more remote areas if you wish. P A W P R I N T S We are going to have a good time! That's for sure. Sessions will be fairly short and will not go beyond an hour of shooting time. We suggest you prepare a bit before your session. Please give your dog a walk, either short or long. This will help in getting the dog to relax once we start shooting. We want a more relaxed or even tired disposition from your pooch. Please bring your dogs favorite toy or treats. We use peanut butter and squeaky toys in the studio, but this isn't always agreeable with the most discerning pups. If your dog requires grooming, that should be taken care before you arrive. We want to have the most available time for shooting and capturing emotions, reactions and personalities of your dog. Practice your obedience, not yours but your dogs. If we choose to have them show us some of their favorite tricks and manners, it always helps to have them sharp and on their "A game". Be prepared to be "hands on" with us as we shoot. Your dog will find the comfort in your presence and you may be able to assist us in getting the dogs attention towards the camera.
